Fatty Acids

    Fatty acid production involves hydrogenation of edible oils using solid catalysts such as Raney nickel or Pd-on-carbon. Filtration systems are used to remove these catalysts after reaction, improving product quality and enabling catalyst reuse. Their closed design prevents operator exposure to flammable or pyrophoric solids, and the heel volume filtration feature allows for full batch processing with minimal hold-up.
