Low-flow Multi-Cartridge Filter Housings

Introduction
Also known as stainless steel precision filter or cartridge filter, the flanged small flow security filter consists of filter housing and filter cartridges, available in single-cartridge or multi-cartridge configurations. Cartridge material and specifications can be customized according to customer requirements.
This filter supports various cartridges ranging from 10 inches to 40 inches, including PP melt-blown, pleated, wire wound and activated carbon cartridges.
Commonly installed before pressure vessels to remove fine particles above 1 μm and satisfy inflow requirements of subsequent processes, it can also be arranged at the tail of water treatment systems to avoid fine particles mixing into finished water. Most housings are made of stainless steel with built-in filter cartridges such as PP cotton. Installed after multimedia pre-filtration and ahead of RO, UF and other membrane equipment, it intercepts residual fine quartz sand, activated carbon granules and other contaminants from pre-treatment to guarantee filtration accuracy and protect membrane elements against damage by large particles. Available cartridge precision ranges from 0.5 μm to 100 μm; proper precision is selected based on working conditions to ensure outlet water quality and safe operation of downstream membranes.

Principle
The filter housing is manufactured from premium stainless steel, while cartridges adopt polypropylene melt-blown filter media. Under hydraulic pressure, raw liquid passes through filter medium; impurities are trapped on the filter material and clean filtrate flows through the medium to effectively eliminate sediments, suspended solids and bacteria for water purification.
