The automatic backwashing filter series is designed to remove particulate impurities from high-flow, high-velocity and low-viscosity fluids. As an electromechanical integrated product, JOECHR Eautomatic backwashing filter features optimized design, high filtration efficiency and low operating cost. It maintains continuous filtration during backwashing and is widely applied in metallurgy, chemical industry, power generation, oilfield reinjection water, ship ballast water, environmental water treatment and other industries.

Seawater desalination, circulating cooling water, oilfield reinjection water, marine ballast water, boiler recycled water, pre-filtration for ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis, pretreatment for ion exchange, nozzle filtration for papermaking industry, etc.
Working Principle
To-be-filtered fluid enters the filter via the inlet, passes through the lower fixing plate and flows into filter screens. The fluid flows from the inner side to the outer side of filter screens and exits through the filter cartridge outlet, while intercepted contaminants are discharged from the drain outlet during backwashing.
Process Description
As fluid flows outward through the filter screen, solid particles are trapped on the inner screen surface. Accumulated contaminants gradually raise the differential pressure between the contaminated side and clean side of the filter. Once the differential pressure hits the preset value, the differential pressure gauge sends a signal to trigger automatic backwashing.
Backwashing Procedures
1.The reduction motor drives the backwash arm via intermediate shaft to rotate and align with the filter screen to be cleaned.
2.The drain valve opens to create a pressure differential between the clean outer side of the targeted screen and the drain pipeline.
3.Driven by the pressure difference, clean fluid reversely flows from outside to inside of the filter screen to complete backwashing; accumulated contaminants on the inner screen are flushed away and drained out of the filter.
4.Backwash duration for each screen is preset. Upon expiry of the set time, the drain valve closes to finish cleaning of the current screen. The reduction motor rotates the backwash arm again to align with the next set of screens, followed by valve opening for sequential backwashing of all screens.
5.After all filter screens are cleaned, the backwash arm returns to its home position controlled by a photoelectric switch, marking the completion of one full backwash cycle.
6.Since screens are cleaned group by group, the filter keeps uninterrupted filtration throughout the backwash cycle.
Backwash Parameter Settings
一、Differential Pressure Setting: Equipped with an adjustable differential pressure gauge for threshold configuration.
二、Time Setting: The control cabinet is fitted with a timing module to customize backwash cycle per user demand. Pressure setting prevails when both pressure and timing triggers are enabled.
三、Manual Activation: A TEST button is available for manual backwash startup during equipment commissioning and maintenance, apart from automatic pressure and timing-based operation.
